Jenny and I are really lucky to have had amazing clients and to have had the opportunity to shoot some great weddings. It is with that in mind that I can say some weddings just come together in a way that sets them apart. Shawnna and Graham’s weekend was one of those times.
Anytime you’re shooting locals in the mountains, you’re going to get some great partying…and usually a fair bit of boozing. With Shawnna and Graham, we got the partying and fun, but we also got such incredible emotion. I don’t know that we’ve ever shot a couple who enjoyed the party…and eachother…more than these guys did. Shawnna and Graham were so fun, so genuine, and so down for anything that we knew the photos were going to be killer.
I started the weekend by shooting their kick-ass rehearsal at the Lazy J Ranch, complete with a performance by The Laughing Bones and fireworks. Jenny and I shot together the next day on Vail’s wedding deck, followed by a ridiculous reception at The Lodge, music and vibe provided by Funkiphino.
