Paul & Lilia’s Vail Mountain Engagement Session

People get married in the mountains in winter for lots of different reasons. It’s beautiful, there are lots of amenities, they just can’t get enough of the smell of ski wax…there are a million great reasons. Paul and Lilia have one reason. They LOVE LOVE LOVE to snowboard. I don’t know that I’ve ever met east coasters who were so into it. It’s perfectly fitting that they did their engagement photos on Vail before their wedding in Breckenridge next winter.

Paul and Lilia are all smiles, all the time. They were just having such an incredible time in the village and definitely on their boards, the shoot was easy and fun. We shot some of the lovey-dovey stuff, but Paul also wanted to hit some drops on Vail, and anyone who knows me knows I’m happy to oblige anyone who wants to jump off, well, anything on the mountain. We found some fun landings while Lilia cheered on her guy.

I’m so excited for their wedding next year. Lilia’s smile is infectious and I know that all the friends and fam are going to have a blast in Breck…assuming they stop riding long enough to get hitched!

Lilia - We’ve literally been checking the blog every 2 minutes. The pictures came out awesome! It really shows our love of the mountains, winter, and snowboarding… oh yeah and each other. Thanks so much! I cannot wait till next year! I also can’t wait to share these pictures with all our friends and family. Nate you are the coolest, most talented, most athletic (not skinny), and by far, tallest photographer ever!

Pinky - Yes ~ the pics are amazing!!! I love two in particular. The first is the one where Lilia & Paul are kissing and the sun is coming through. The second is the black and white, there is a covered bridge scene and Lilia and Paul are at the far end of the bridge. Even though the season is over it is, like, the perfect “just got married” photo op for a Christmas Card.

Hooray for incredible pictures!!!
