So to continue on the Washington D.C. engagement theme, Jenny and I met Leeann and Andy at their place downtown and roughed out everything they wanted to do. Their awesome pooches are definite family members, so we picked them up and headed down to Malcolm X park for a walk. You can usually tell how a whole shoot is going to go from the first few minutes with a couple and, fortunately, it was clear that things were going to be a breeze with these two! They are both all smiles, so having a good time wasn’t going to be an issue.
After the walk, we cruised back to Leeann and Andy’s amazing place to change and head to the Hill. They work at the same law firm (is anyone NOT a lawyer in D.C.?), and Leeann had just been a part of a case argued at the Supreme Court, so the steps of the court were definitely on the list. I’d be lying if I didn’t say how super cool it is to have such historic, beautiful, imposing buildings as backdrops. D.C. really is an awesome city. We followed up the court with some shots at the Capital Building, Japanese Internment Memorial, and just strolling in the amazing evening light. We finished up the shoot at Union Station and then went for a great meal to get to know each other a little better.
We’re so lucky to have so many awesome couples this year, and we definitely can’t wait for Leann and Andy’s Colorado wedding….in December! Thanks to Meg at Gemini Events for setting us up with these guys!
