Jenny and I are super lucky to get the chance to work with a lot of couples who actually live in the mountains. “Locals” are a little different to shoot because they really do live amazing lives above 8,000″. Greg and Karen are no exception, and when an unseasonably warm spring day came up in Vail, they jumped on the chance to shoot their engagement in the sun.
With cruiser bikes and Abe the dog in tow, we stopped at some of their favorite spots in the Vail Valley and got a great glimpse into what a cool couple they are. Sometimes it’s hard to get our couples to feel comfortable being affectionate in front of the camera in their first shoot with us. It’s fairly obvious that wasn’t the case for Greg and Karen. These guys are so in love and are having such a great time together, the shoot was really easy and a lot of fun.

Cruisers.

Abe pretty much rules.

Just a normal day in the village.

The Gore Range looms over Vail Village.

Every good day ends with mudslides at the Bully.
Thanks so much to Greg and Karen and Abe. We can’t wait for their wedding!
