George & Amy’s Chicago Engagement Session

I’m originally from Chicago, so maybe it’s some innate Midwestern bond that keeps us gravitating towards couples that call the windy city home. Whatever it is, we recently headed to the Chi and met up with George and Amy to shoot their summertime engagement session before their November wedding.

First stop, George and Amy’s boat in Belmont harbor. The weather in Chicago doesn’t get much better than the killer day we had, so we wanted to get out on the lake and use it! We cruised over to the locks and headed up the Chicago River for some portraits with the city as the backdrop. Late afternoon found us downtown, and then we headed to the ‘burbs to grab some great family shots with George’s beautiful daughter Emily. All in all, it was a great day and while the weather probably won’t be as nice as it was this day, we can’t wait for their November wedding!

Thanks so much to George, Amy and Emily (and of course to Penny and Big George)! We’ll see you soon!
