Candis and Greg live in Sterling, Colorado but they are planning an amazing winter wedding in Vail for next year, so we decided to shoot their engagement photos in Vail as well. We really like to use our engagement sessions to get to know a couple and have them get comfortable with how we shoot. Candis and Greg were total troopers and I think that we all had a really good time. They really relaxed as the shoot went on, and I think that if this session is any indication, their wedding is going to be really fun.
We started at the skating rink in Beaver Creek. Candis is a little more sure on her feet, but what a guy won’t do for love…
They totally put up with some of my more harebrained attempts at creativity, which I love.

Of course a Vail local had to get his mug in there, but Candis and Greg were totally relaxed.

We headed over to the path behind the Donovan Pavilion in Vail for some fun snow shots.
Serious winter wonderland.
Greg is a firefighter, so they wanted some shots in the getup. Really cool.
So I’m like…now let’s go play in the snow. And he’s like…you’re going down.
After snowing eachother for a bit, they went all snow ninja and attacked me. Them planning, and a cowardly shot as I run.
