There is no doubt that big gala weddings and receptions are not only a great time to shoot, but also a lot of fun to be at. Bands, drunken Uncles, little kids doing the worm…love it all. Still, at the heart of the experience is supposed to be the quiet, thoughtful commitment to someone for the rest of your life.
Bess and Preston boiled everything down to what the wedding ceremony meant to them and came up with a thoughtful, moonlight ceremony at Preston’s family house in Vail. It was Jenny and I, the two of them and the officiant.
If the evening was short on the standard wedding hoopla, it was long on the love and intimacy these two seem to be all about and we feel honored to have been there. Put all this against an amazing, original Vail mountain house and I think Bess and Preston got just what they were looking for from their evening. Thanks so much to you two, and good luck as you move forward!
